In 2011, Janelle founded événement, realizing her entrepreneurial dream after a successful tenure as the General Manager/Director of Catering at Bartolotta Catering at Pier Wisconsin. Her experience includes orchestrating events with up to 6,000 attendees, showcasing her passion for event management. Since then, événement has thrived, curating exceptional corporate events, weddings, sporting events, and holiday parties, some accommodating as many as 3,000 guests, even extending our services to locations like Montana.

MEET JANELLE MEYER-BROWN
Janelle started événement planning with the goal of providing unique and personalized event planning services. Our team has years of experience in the industry and a passion for creating unforgettable events.
experience spanning 40+ years, working for some of the biggest names in the Milwaukee area. We have acquired an incredible array of expertise in every aspect of their client's needs in planning the perfect events.
Janelle created événement in 2011 after deciding to pursue her dream of owning her own business forcing her to leave her position as General Manager/Director of Catering for Bartolotta Catering at Pier Wisconsin, in which she opened successfully in 2005/06 running events as large as 6,000 people in attendance and LOVED every minute of it…. événement has been a huge success ever since.
As événement she has had the honor of creating amazing and flawless: corporate events, beautiful weddings, Sporting Events & Holiday Parties as large as 3,000 people and has traveled as far as Montana to do so. ALL while building great relationships with forever clients and Milwaukee’s finest venues and providers. She has hand picked a very talented and experience events team, BEST in Milwaukee!

MEET MANDA GILL
My name is Manda Gill and I have been working in the events industry since 2013, Most recently running the events at The Milwaukee Art Museum.
I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and a strong background in art and design. I started my event career as a catering server during college. That position led me to Event Coordinator, Event Sales, Event Management, Event Planning and Director of Events. Working one on one with families is why I am an Event Planner. I joke that my decades of experience allow me to absorb all the stress that goes into creating unique events, allowing my clients to experience joy.
I believe that every wedding should be a reflection of the couple getting married and I am here to facilitate that goal. I am here for you- from navigating timelines, finding vendors that meet your needs or guiding you through the design process.
When I am not working, I spend most of my time with my 5 year old daughter, Leya.
Leya has her Mama’s passion for art so we are almost always creating in one way or another. I am a bit of a fashion nut- constantly thrifting and hunting for vintage wares. During the summer I am on my bike as often as possible and really love exploring what Milwaukee has to offer.
